Dephy, Inc.
Overview
Dephy is looking for a senior electrical engineer to help us tackle challenges at the forefront of wearable robotics. You will support and expand all aspects of our embedded systems and wearable technologies, developing analog circuits to power wearable devices and utilizing microcontrollers and microprocessors to drive them. You will work closely with mechanical, software, and control engineers to design integrated electromechanical systems for mobility exoskeletons and related devices. Responsibilities
Design, prototype, and test analog circuits and embedded systems for wearable devices. Develop firmware and hardware integration, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams (mechanical, software, control engineers). Prototype quickly: concept idea, CAD, PCB fabrication, firmware development, assembly, and testing within iterative cycles. Collaborate to bring hardware and software components from prototype to integrated systems. Mentor junior engineers, co-ops, and interns by assigning tasks, providing training, and giving feedback. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience. Track record of independently designing PCBs, obtaining prototypes from quick-turn fabricators, and integrating with complex assemblies at a fast pace. Strong circuit design skills including mixed-signal applications, microcontrollers, motor control, ADC/DAC, wired communications, SMPS, thermal management, and radio modules. Experience performing engineering analyses and writing test plans, specifications, and test reports. Experience designing multi-layer PCBs tightly integrated with mechanical components. Experience designing high-speed circuits (microprocessors, RAM interfaces, inter-CPU communication). Experience bringing up and debugging hardware and associated firmware. Experience with embedded programming on microcontrollers (PSoC 4/5 and STM32 or equivalent, C). Ability to troubleshoot issues with clients or other engineers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-sufficiency, strong attention to detail and quality. Desired Qualifications
Altium Designer and SolidWorks. Hardware and firmware testing: CI/CD, hardware-in-the-loop testing, Python automation. Experience with all stages of hardware and software development life cycle. Experience bringing a hardware product to market and with compliance/certifications (FCC, UL, IEC). Experience with radio communications: Bluetooth, WiFi, 802.15.4 or others. Experience with robots, exoskeletons, active prostheses, or other electromechanical systems. Other Information
We encourage diverse applicants and value a respectful and inclusive environment. You may apply even if you don’t meet every qualification. Candidates need to be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship (e.g., H-1B). Salary and equity determined based on qualifications. Salary range: $121,000-$175,000. Apply at the provided URL. Benefits
