The Opportunity
CACI is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support the Department of Justice’s mission. This position plays a critical role and involves working on high‑profile cases. The role requires an ability to work in Washington, DC, and focuses on litigation support in preparation for upcoming trials.

Responsibilities
Prepare substantive legal documents (subpoenas, notices of deposition, interrogatories, document requests, garnishments, applications for writ of execution) for review and approval of Assistant U.S. Attorneys. Upon approval, process and follow up on these documents.
Review and maintain the inventory of documents and other materials produced in response to subpoenas or discovery requests.
Conduct interviews or review depositions of debtors and witnesses to assist with financial litigation and collection; research, analyze, and summarize relevant legal precedents.
Use automated research tools and public databases to investigate the financial background of a debtor and the case.
Prepare discovery‑related documents such as discovery letters, production logs, privilege logs, deposition lists, and digests, applying knowledge of the Federal Rules of Evidence and Civil Procedure.
Provide case management and organize cases by preparing and organizing discovery and exhibits; identify deficiencies in case materials and request further investigation.
Maintain regular contact with applicable federal agencies to ensure compliance with department‑wide directives on financial litigation.
Monitor pending cases and initiate action to ensure legal pleadings, forms, reports, correspondence, and other documents are prepared and submitted within deadlines. Keep staff informed of case status.
Compile, organize, and index discovery and evidence exhibits and witness testimony, working closely with Associate U.S. Attorneys to ensure efficient material arrangement.
Perform administrative duties in support of the Unit, including automation support and other subject‑matter areas not strictly legal.
Use established databases for data searches and report design; generate recurring or special reports based on user requirements.
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate, JD, or enrollment in an ABA‑accredited law school with at least one year of study.
Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, including 1 year of experience in automated litigation support.
Sound knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and research resources.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Proficiency with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
Hands‑on familiarity with word processing, databases (document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.
Experience with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources.
Ability to consistently deliver high‑quality work under extreme pressure.

Pay Range This posting is for a position covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay and benefits will meet or exceed the minimum required amounts as specified in the applicable wage determination. Minimum required hourly wage: $31.69. Additional factors influencing final salary include geographic location, prior work experience, specific skills, and certifications.
