Assistant Fund Controller
to join its finance organization.
This newly created position serves as a bridge between senior finance leadership and junior accounting staff and will manage a team of 2‑3.
The role will oversee fund‑level accounting, valuations, and management company reporting, while helping guide the transition to a new fund administrator and upgraded accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and review fund administrator deliverables including NAVs, capital calls, distributions, and investor notices
Manage quarterly and annual financial reporting across funds, management companies, and upper‑tier entities
Partner with auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely, accurate filings
Support valuation analysis and preparation of portfolio performance metrics
Drive process and systems improvements, including Investran and related integrations
Mentor and develop junior finance staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
7–10+ years of progressive experience, including at least 4 years in venture capital or private equity fund accounting
Big‑4 and public accounting backgrounds preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and partnership accounting
Experience overseeing fund administrators
CPA preferred; familiarity with Investran a plus
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
