\$140,000.00 / year – \$170,000.00 / year Baker McKenzie seeks a staff attorney for its Compensation Practice Group to reside in one of our San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, New York, or Chicago offices. The North America Compensation Practice Group provides clients with "one stop" domestic and international counseling on all compensation arrangements, with an emphasis on global share plans. We assist multinational companies of all sizes with designing, implementing, and maintaining their equity incentive and other compensation arrangements, working seamlessly with our colleagues across the globe to stay on top of tax and regulatory developments affecting the arrangements. Ideal candidates will have strong academic credentials, excellent project management, communication, and writing skills, and will remain current on U.S. and non‑U.S. securities, tax, currency control, employment, and other laws affecting compensation arrangements. Experience advising companies on executive compensation, employee benefits, and other incentive arrangements is required; a strong global tax or corporate law background will be considered a plus. Major law firm experience is a plus. Applicants must be admitted and a member in good standing of the Bar in the state of employment. This is a staff attorney position with a billable hour requirement of 1,600 hours per year. Please include a writing sample, cover letter, transcripts, and resume with your application. The U.S. base compensation for this position is expected to be \$140,000 to \$170,000 annually if located in New York, Illinois, or California.
