Health Information Management Specialist
You are invited to apply for a Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist role located at our Salida office. This on‑site position requires you to manage the administrative and record‑keeping functions of the HIM department.
Position Overview
In this vital role, you will maintain the integrity of both paper and electronic health records by retrieving, preparing, scanning, indexing, filing, and reconciling patient medical records. You will also review and respond to confidential health information requests while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and Colorado law.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the integrity of paper and electronic health records.
Retrieve, prepare, scan, index, file, import, and reconcile medical records.
Respond to requests for confidential health information from authorized requestors.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external requestors.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
3+ years of experience in a business, HIM, or healthcare setting.
Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
Experience with EHR systems.
Associate degree in a healthcare‑related field preferred.
Completion of a medical terminology course is a plus.
