Job Title: Electrician (Journeymen) Full Time position - 40 hours per week Starting Pay Rate: $32.00- $34.00 per hour based on experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, LTD, and 401(k) Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Location: Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC), Silver Spring, Maryland. LWMC is the private, restricted community for Leisure World of Maryland. Responsibilities

Repair, installation, modification and maintenance of electrical wiring, electrical/electronic systems, circuits, fixtures and equipment within the Leisure World of Maryland community. Inspect, repair, install, modify and maintain electrical wiring and related components following electrical codes, manuals, specifications, schematics and blueprints. Review blueprints, schematics and drawings to assess material and equipment needs; identify tools and equipment required for the job. Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems and equipment using testing instruments; inspect systems and components to evaluate condition and determine preventive maintenance. Install and repair wiring, fixtures, power equipment and components of machinery and equipment; install control and distribution apparatus including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, and circuit breakers panels. Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment per diagrams or blueprints; test continuity of circuits for safety and compatibility. Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit; repair or replace electrical appliances as needed. Identify required repairs, request equipment and supplies to maintain inventory for installations and repairs; ensure customer property is kept neat and protected during and after the job. Transport tools, equipment and supplies; respond to emergency situations during and after hours to address safety concerns. Adhere to building codes and regulations; maintain a clean, organized and stocked truck; document time on jobs and complete work orders accurately and promptly. Prepare invoices and collect payment as directed; maintain a daily job log of services performed with type and cost of work. Communicate professionally with customers; ensure customer satisfaction upon completion; on-call rotation after regular business hours and weekends for emergencies. Follow safety procedures including use of PPE and MSDS; dispose of hazardous materials properly; perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibility

Maryland Journeyman Electrician License Current valid driver\'s license with clean driving record Education

High School graduate or GED required Formal apprenticeship completed under a licensed master electrician with on-the-job training and classroom instruction; Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council or Federal Office of Apprenticeship approval if applicable Minimum of 576 classroom hours 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and/or work experience Years and Type of Experience

4-5 years of documented apprenticeship training with successful completion evidenced by a journeyman\'s license Knowledge & Skills

Advanced knowledge of electricity principles Ability to read blueprints, schematics and drawings Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with vendors and customers Inventory management and ability to work with other trades Ability to learn and apply safety practices and to operate electrical trade tools and equipment Ability to work with limited supervision Physical Requirements
