Make a Difference The Lead Patient Access Representative will coordinate all aspects of Patient Access to ensure a customer-focused, quality-conscious work climate. Primary responsibilities include assessing departmental and individual educational needs, onboarding new hires, developing training materials, providing statistical data to leadership, completing team member audits, and covering patient access areas. The Lead serves as a liaison, acting as the first point of contact for process and procedural concerns, and participates in an on‑call rotation.
Exceptional Skills And Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare/medical office environment.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including email, face‑to‑face interactions, and professional phone skills.
General knowledge of patient accounts, registration requirements, and billing/insurance requirements.
Knowledge of insurance requirements including pre‑certification, verification, pre‑registration, and scheduling.
Ability to interact well with all types of customers.
Ability to develop and implement new processes.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
