Sr Financial Aid Advisor - Concorde Career College
To educate, advise, and support students in the appropriate procedures to ensure the completion of all applicable grant, loan, and scholarship applications. Aid students in understanding and interpretation of applicable Federal, State, and Institutional requirements while maintaining a high level of customer service. All Concorde associates are required to display professionalism and uphold Concorde’s Mission and the core values of respect for the individual, integrity, teamwork, customer service, and achievement.

Responsibilities
Advise prospective students of all funding sources available to students attending Concorde Career College and provide each prospective student an introduction to financial aid during the student’s tour
Assist students with questions regarding the completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the Master Promissory Note for the Federal Stafford, Federal Unsubsidized and Federal PLUS loans, Federal SEOG, and Federal Perkins applications utilizing all required Federal and Concorde Career College forms
Check NSLDS for status of prospective student loans
Conduct entrance interviews and testing and exit interviews and testing as required by Title IV regulation and Concorde Career College
Complete re-entry and subsequent packaging accurately
Complete revisions to funding plans due to failed classes and schedule changes
Know and comply with all applicable Concorde policies/procedures per the College policy and procedure manual
Know and comply with all applicable Federal regulations/procedures per the annual Federal Handbook
Perform other duties related to student financial aid packaging efforts as assigned
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education / Experience
Associate degree preferred
Must not currently be in default on any Federal Student Loans or go into default on any Federal Student Loans while employed.
3 years Financial Aid Advisor Experience
3 years Title IV administration and mastery of FAA skill sets
Familiar with VA policy and procedures
Must be computer literate with entry level knowledge of Excel and Word
Knowledge and ability to run CampusVue operating system preferred
Must be detail oriented and be a quick learner of complex processes
Standard Abilities
Able and willing to:
Communicate, think, learn, and reason
Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to process transactions, store documents, enter data, or perform assigned tasks
Safely ambulate and/or maneuver when on-site at Company locations
Demonstrate and utilize active listening, inductive reasoning, information ordering and category flexibility
Ability to use good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with discretion
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where deadlines are essential and multiple projects are worked simultaneously
Ability to gain, understand and apply information and data as it relates essential functions of the position
Ability to foster long-term relationships with stakeholders
