TEEMA
Overview
Our client is building a brand-new, state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility in Peoria, Arizona, and we’re looking for a hands-on Ultrapure Water (UPW) Engineer to join our startup team. This isn’t a typical corporate role — it’s a greenfield environment where agility, resourcefulness, and ownership are key. You’ll help design, operate, and optimize UPW systems that deliver 18.2 megaohm-cm resistivity water to support world-class semiconductor manufacturing. Location:
Peoria, AZ (Onsite) PERMANENT What You’ll Do
Own and operate UPW systems end-to-end — ensuring reliability, performance, and safety. Lead system commissioning, upgrades, and process improvements for UPW and wastewater systems. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues using RCA/FMEA methods. Monitor system quality (TOC, resistivity, microbial levels) and ensure compliance with the highest purity standards. Collaborate with construction, facilities, and EHS teams to bring our new site to life. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years’ experience in UPW systems design, operations, or commissioning (semiconductor preferred). Strong knowledge of ultrapure water generation, DI systems, filtration, and instrumentation. Startup-ready mindset — self-driven, adaptable, and comfortable building from scratch. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Office, and engineering control systems. Experience in semiconductor utilities, environmental systems, or large-scale facility startups. Track record improving system reliability, efficiency, and uptime. Seniority level
Mid-Senior level Employment type
