Overview

The Network Engineer I - OMS (Operations and Maintenance Services) will deploy and support network infrastructure at the access layer and assist with device configuration, documentation, field-based troubleshooting, and advance knowledge in data center networking. Responsibilities

Configure Layer 2 switch settings, VLANs, and port assignments. Support rack buildouts, patch panel mapping, and IP assignments. Monitor network ports, assist in MAC address tracking, and patch audits. Collaborate with field teams during turn-ups and cutovers. Advance network troubleshooting. Handles other responsibilities as assigned. Compensation: minimum USD $30.00/hour, maximum USD $35.00/hour. Qualifications

Physical and Mental Requirements: Regular attendance is mandatory; must be self-motivated, professional, and able to lead process improvements; strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills; ability to read, write, and present effectively; able to diagnose and fix problems with existing equipment and new installs; enthusiastic, patient, and customer-focused; able to travel within branch and/or regional territory as needed. Education and Experience: High School diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree preferred. 2-4+ years of hands-on networking or IT infrastructure experience. Familiarity with CLI tools, structured documentation, and cabling maps. Skills/Certifications: Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project); CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or equivalent; fiber certifications a plus; must meet company driving standards; able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Experience configuring switches from vendors like Cisco or Arista. Overview (company and policy)
