Job Description AECOM is seeking a highly talented Marketing Proposal Specialist III to join the Buildings + Places team and work collaboratively with the West Region business development and operations team on pursuits, including formal and informal client solicitations (expressions of interest, requests for qualifications, requests for proposals, and pre‑qualification efforts). This is a hybrid role that can be based in Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Denver, CO; or Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
Leads medium to large proposals and presentations, supporting from capture through interview stage.
Supports capture managers in developing win strategies during capture and interview preparation.
Creates annotated outlines and content plans, providing recommendations to technical teams on section structures.
May serve as lead writer and editor for tailored resumes, past performance sections, executive summaries, and management approaches for proposals.
Facilitates color reviews (Pink and Red teams), quality reviews, and applies lessons learned to add value.
Manages the implementation of proposal and presentation revisions directed by review teams.
Participates in go/no‑go and greenlight analyses in compliance with delegation of authority guidelines, capture planning and positioning activities.
Completes internal debriefs for proposals led, leveraging past pursuit debrief information and supporting win/loss debriefs with client feedback to drive continuous improvement.
May support marketing or pursuits strategy and content development related to clients/markets, marketing communications, campaigns, account managers (CAMs), and business lines.
Coaches entry-level proposal team members.
Performs a self-check of work prior to submitting for review/approval.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements
BA/BS and at least 4 years of experience collaborating within a marketing team to lead and/or support proposal activity, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Developed understanding of effective proposal and presentation writing and production.
Preferred Qualifications
BA/BS in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
Working knowledge of and interest in the A/E industry, including AECOM’s projects, people, credentials, and competitors.
Detailed knowledge of marketing best practices and procedures, work processes, and tools.
Strong working knowledge of InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
Initiative, skill, and personal commitment to manage multiple projects and details concurrently.
Ability to produce accurate, compliant, and compelling work independently and with others.
Experience demonstrating leadership qualities.
Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail.
Proven organizational and administrative skills, including managing documents and meeting deadlines.

Compensation
– $65,000 to $90,000 annually, based on education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
