Job Responsibilities
Assist the Corporate Executive Chef with staffing, ordering, training, leading food production, delegating tasks, reporting issues, and maintaining quality and cleanliness.
Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure best practices as defined by the Corporate Executive Chef.
Communicate effectively with culinary staff.
Ensure employees meet the standards set by the Corporate Executive Chef.
Promote team spirit by connecting with culinary team members.
Maintain overall cleanliness of the kitchen.
Attend department staff meetings as directed.
Apply and maintain ServeSafe, HACCP, and company standards for safe and presentable food practices.
Qualifications
Proven cooking experience as a sous chef or line cook with leadership responsibilities.
Highly practiced at preparing and cooking in a professional kitchen; culinary school diploma preferred.
Creative, flexible, and quick‑thinking problem solver.
Familiar with operating all kitchen equipment.
Expert, effective communication skills and team leadership.
Strong knowledge of culinary industry best practices.
Accuracy, speed, and manual dexterity in executing assigned tasks.
Excellent knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Strong physical condition and endurance.
Working knowledge of health and safety rules in a professional kitchen.
Location & Salary San Jose, CA – Salary $80,000 – $90,000.
