Preservation Planner – Town of Falmouth

The Town of Falmouth seeks a highly motivated professional to serve as our next part‑time Preservation Planner and provide professional and technical work assisting the Town in implementing historic preservation goals and policies. The role supports the Historical Commission, which protects the historic character of the Town’s buildings and their settings in the Town’s seven local historic districts.
Work 19 hours per week (part‑time, non‑benefited position) with schedule flexibility.
Attend and provide administrative support for the Historical Commission meetings held the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in historic preservation, public administration, planning, community development, or related field and a minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Expected Salary Step 1: $41.14/hour – Step 2: $42.54/hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience, with opportunity for annual advancement along the 10‑step salary table.
