Trigyn's direct government client in Austin, Texas has a requirement for a Data Administrator / Architect. The particulars of the opportunity are below. The data administrator/architect will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, perform studies and cost/benefit analyses of alternatives, analyze user requirements and procedures to automate processing or improve the computer system, and collaborate with organizational units to gather input/output requirements, data formats, and reporting needs. The role requires expertise in Oracle, AWS, and cloud-native architecture. The position focuses on modernizing legacy systems, implementing modular and scalable data solutions, optimizing database performance, maintaining secure cloud deployments, and enabling agile delivery with architectural governance. It also emphasizes secure, accurate, and efficient data management across both legacy and updated systems. Responsibilities
Analyze business objectives and problems; identify alternative technical solutions and perform cost/benefit analyses. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve computer systems; confer with stakeholders to determine data input, output, formats for reports, and related needs. Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps to develop or modify software programs. Review system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine the feasibility of program changes within the existing system. Modernize legacy systems with modular, scalable data solutions; support transformation objectives for cloud deployments. Optimize database performance; maintain secure, compliant cloud deployments; collaborate across cross-functional teams to enable agile delivery and architectural governance. Manage data across both legacy and updated systems with a focus on security, accuracy, and efficiency. Mandatory Qualifications
Experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing. Proficient in Oracle Database architecture, administration, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) configuration and management. Strong knowledge of data architecture principles and best practices. Proficient in writing complex SQL, PL/SQL, procedures, and performance-optimized queries. Strong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard and high availability/disaster recovery strategies. Familiarity with cloud-native database services and PaaS offerings. Experience in database backup, restore, and recovery operations using RMAN. Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management, including understanding of cloud-based data storage options, cloud security considerations, and best practices for deploying applications in the cloud. Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support analytics and reporting. Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and big data analytics in healthcare. Ability to work in DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines for database changes. Experience transforming monolithic, on-premises data structures to microservice-aligned schemas. Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps. Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Fundamental understanding of Information Management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture, and technologies adopted by an organization. Customer-focused ability to communicate across all levels of the organization. Proactive leadership; self-starter with strong attention to detail.
