Job Summary We are hiring a

QC Tech

to provide field quality control support for turnaround projects across the U.S. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Perform quality control functions with high regard to integrity on KSPS projects, including the review and execution of field inspection plans.

Develop skills and experience to become a site QC lead, which may include leading QC on projects.

Support development, maintain and keep digital record of quality packages for submittal to the client and KSPS corporate quality personnel.

Keep corporate and site quality personnel up to date on any quality issues, small or large.

Maintain a daily log/rollover log to keep quality informed of activities taking place on site.

Work with quality personnel on site as needed, in an effective manner with respect and humility.

Conduct material receiving, inspection, and approval.

Oversight of third‑party NDE and heat treatment, including review of documentation for accuracy of work.

Review welder qualifications before execution of work.

Monitor and inspect field welds and flange make‑ups for conformance with codes and maintain weld and flange logs.

Perform in‑person field reviews of work performed by KSPS personnel as required.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work long hours and all shift schedules that may require up to twelve hours a day, seven days a week for extended durations.

Must be able to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, scaffolds, and work at heights.

Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment, including rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air‑purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs, and safety glasses.

Respiratory protection fit testing and pulmonary function testing required; additional medical examinations may be required per client guidelines. Hearing and vision within normal ranges may also be required.

Basic Qualifications

Experience in the oil & gas industry.

Ability to read and interpret drawings (ISO, P&ID, installation/fabrication).

Familiarity with ASME, API and NBIC codes.

Proficiency with MS Office software.

Familiarity with non‑destructive examination and welding methods.

What Will Put You Ahead

High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience with pressure vessel modifications.

Experience with flange inspection and assembly.

Experience with pipe fabrication and installation.

Experience with fired equipment (flares, heaters, etc.).

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Certified Welding Inspector certificate or API 510 certification.
