Graph Developer (Neo4j) at Sonata Software North America Inc. – Northeast U.S. preferred (Hybrid / Remote with occasional NYC workshops). Type of Hire: Full Time. We are seeking a Knowledge Graph Developer to support an East Coast–based biotech company’s AI and data platform initiatives. The role involves enhancing a Neo4j-based knowledge graph integrating biomedical, clinical, and patent data to enable intelligent search and discovery for R&D and commercial use cases. Responsibilities
Design, develop, and extend Neo4j graph databases and related APIs. Build and optimize Cypher queries for data ingestion and analytics. Collaborate with biology and data platform teams to model entities such as genes, proteins, targets, trials, and patents. Integrate graph data with AI/ML pipelines and visualization tools. Participate in agile development and occasional onsite workshops (NYC/NJ area). Contribute to potential future migration planning toward AWS Neptune. Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Neo4j (v5 or later), Cypher, and GraphQL APIs. Experience in building or querying knowledge graphs or ontologies. Familiarity with AWS services (Neptune, Lambda, API Gateway). Proficiency in Python or Java for API and ETL development. Understanding of biomedical or life sciences data models preferred.
