Cargo Systems Design Engineers (Experienced or Senior)
to join the 777-8F Payloads organization within Boeing Commercial Aircraft (BCA) in
Everett, WA . The selected candidate will have a statement of work focused on 777-8F Cargo System Development. This includes Cargo Systems requirements, hardware, software, Airborne Electronic Hardware development or integration, supplier engagement, validating and verifying design requirements, integrating business needs, and supporting the product through production and certification processes. This work will interface with project engineering, production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions. The successful candidate will combine the interiors organization resources to certify and deliver the best interiors products within the industry. Experience Areas
Payloads is seeking candidates with experience in any of the following areas: Product Development, Airplane Development, and Systems Development Systems Engineering and Development Assurance Design for manufacturing and engineering support and project leadership within a production system Technical integration, supplier and/or customer engagement Requirements management, validating and verifying requirements We are hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced (Level 3) and Senior (Level 4) Cargo Systems Design Engineers. Position Responsibilities
Develops, integrates and documents Cargo Handling System requirements to establish the system design. Performs or oversees approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manages supplier performance, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Develops, maintains and modifies system and component designs using 3-D CAD tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelors of Science from an accredited engineering program 5+ years of experience in engineering, including design, integration, and/or certification or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience leading a cross-functional team Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA equivalent Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes 5+ years of experience in program or project management, leading proposals and/or programs of varying complexity Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking Ability to use a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to a variety of audiences Demonstrated interest in continuous personal learning and development Workplace and Benefits Information

Pay ranges: Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950; Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $120,700 - $163,300 Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Export Control Requirement: This position requires compliance with export control; U.S. Person status is required as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.
