As an Enterprise Data Manager, you will be a key leader in our data organization, helping set the vision and inspiring the team that bridges the gap between raw data and immense business value. You will strategically lead the development of our Databricks Lakehouse, guiding a team in building the semantic models and data solutions that empower U‑Haul to make critical, data‑informed decisions. You will be a strategic partner to our business units, anticipating their analytical needs, influencing data strategy, and delivering trusted, scalable solutions.
What You'll Do:

Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of Analytics Engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity and business impact.
Technical Excellence & Standards:
Champion best practices for data modeling and own the Databricks semantic layer. Ensure our data is accurate, intuitive, and performant.
Resource Allocation:
Intelligently staff cross‑functional projects, ensuring your team is delivering value across the organization while developing their own skills.
Hiring & Onboarding:
Lead the charge in hiring and onboarding analytics engineering talent that possesses both strong technical skills and sharp business acumen.
What You Bring:
Demonstrated experience leading a Data or Analytics team.
The ability to think beyond immediate technical tasks, create a clear vision for the future of Enterprise Data.
Expert‑level knowledge of SQL and deep experience with modern data modeling techniques and tools, especially Databricks.
Exceptional stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills.
Proficiency in developing and managing BI solutions in Databricks and visualization tools like Power BI.
Exceptional business acumen and demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions.
A passion for data and a desire to promote data‑driven decision making across the entire organization.
