We are looking for a trend‑savvy SVP, Group Creative Director to lead creative strategy for a top retail client. The ideal candidate has a writing background, an “yes, and” mindset, a sense of humor, and strong collaboration skills. They will build bold concepts with the team, driving culture‑shifting work.
Expect to juggle diverse creative work, from content series to AI brainstorming and activation ideas. You will partner with strategy, social, and other cross‑functional teams to deliver work that earns media attention and hits key cultural truths.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire large, multi‑level creative teams, growing talent while ensuring high creative standards.
Develop bold, award‑winning, earned‑centric campaigns that break through and resonate across style/fashion/beauty/home‑decor markets.
Partner across strategy, production, social, and other teams to translate insights into compelling creative concepts.
Set a high creative bar, provide clear tools and guidance, and maintain consistency across all deliverables.
Engage with client leadership, collaborate with PMs, and manage project budgets, schedules, and junior creatives.
Qualifications
At least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in an integrated agency setting.
A bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Advertising, or related creative concentration.
Track record of award‑winning, earned‑centric, 360° creative work that breaks through.
Deep understanding of style/fashion/beauty/home décor with cultural nuance and craft.
Proven success partnering with cross‑functional teams (creative, strategy, production, social).
Strong leadership with a reputation for growing talent, not just managing it.
Preferred Skills (PQs)
Demonstrated ability to transform strategic thinking into best‑in‑class creative work.
Integrated agency experience in concept development, art direction, and/or copywriting.
Understanding of production processes across multiple platforms and formats.
Excellent presentation skills to sell ideas and expand client relationships.
Experience building and leading teams of art directors, copywriters, and designers.
Ability to craft culturally relevant, buzz‑worthy concepts.
Client‑facing experience, building trust and collaboration.
Project management skills: prioritization, budgeting, scheduling, and junior creative oversight.
Strong grasp of PR and social media roles in the overall communications mix.
Compensation & Benefits $150,000 - $230,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, Paid Time Off, 401(k) match, medical/dental/vision, disability, travel assistance, and wellness programs.
