Overview Lead our before‑and‑after care Pre‑K program for the 2025‑2026 school year. As the director, you will be responsible for every aspect of the program’s operation, from compliance and curriculum delivery to staffing and parent communication.

Mahopac Falls Academy, Mahopac, NY
Pay:
$17.00 – $18.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday‑Friday, 7:00 – 8:30 am and 1:30 – 6:00 pm
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with OCFS guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
Lead engaging, hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework assistance.
Manage essential tasks such as attendance and registration records, staffing levels, and overall program administration.
Maintain clear communication with parents and families via the Playground App.
Collaborate with the direct report and team to address daily issues, uphold quality care standards, and proactively solve challenges.
Qualifications Director Requirements
Either:
Two years of college with 18 credits in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field + two years of direct experience with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential + two years of direct experience with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
A School‑Age Child Care Credential or another NYC‑recognized credential for the school‑age developmental period + two years of direct experience with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
An Associate’s degree in a related field + two years of direct experience with children under 13, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
Lead Teacher Requirements
Either:
9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field, pursuing a Child Development Associate Credential, an office‑recognized preschool credential, or an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood/Child Development; plus two years of experience caring for children.
Child Development Associate Credential or other office‑recognized preschool credential + one year of care experience.
Associate’s degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or related field.
Medically fit to perform job duties and free of communicable diseases (including TB).
Warm, friendly, upbeat, and possesses exceptional interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.
Reliable, professional, and consistently punctual.
Able to lift, carry (up to 50 lb), and accommodate the energy of active children.
