Senior Accountant, VIP Holdings Reporting directly to Controller of VIP Holdings, the Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing monthly entries, reconciling bank statements, managing fixed assets, and overseeing accounts receivable/payable. Additionally, they handle tenant lease and payment processes, monitor cash flows, prepare sales tax returns, assist in budget development, and collaborate on year-end audits and tax reports for VIP Holdings and subsidiaries.

Essential Functions

General Ledger maintenance/review of transactions posted from interfacing modules (accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll).

Performs standard monthly entries including cash management transactions, prepaid insurances and expenses, depreciation, and intercompany allocations.

Reconciles monthly bank statements and investigates variances and takes appropriate action.

Reconciles Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable detail to the General Ledger and investigates differences and adjusts.

Maintains fixed asset records and updates with new additions and disposals.

Sets up lease information and incidental charges for commercial tenants for managed properties. Generates monthly rent roll charges and incidental charges.

Receives payments or notices of payments received from tenants. Manually enters or uploads payment information to software.

Monitors tenant ledgers to identify delinquent accounts. Works with Property Management staff to resolve.

Enters accounts payable invoices for Managed properties assuring proper coding to accounts and entities.

Prepares quarterly sales tax returns for all managed properties that require returns.

Assists with cash management of the real estate properties in combination with processing payments to vendors in a timely manner.

Prepares annual operating expense reconciliations for properties. Sends charges/credits to tenants.

Works with Property Management staff in the development of annual operating budgets for managed properties.

Assists Controller in preparation of monthly financial package.

Compiles schedules, work papers and other documents related to year-end financial audits for VIP Holdings.

Prepares schedules and reports required for the preparation of VIP Holding Company and subsidiary tax returns.

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field with 3-5 years accounting experience.
