Primary Mission Responsible for greeting and registering guests, providing excellent guest service, and settling the guest’s account upon completion of their stay. The night auditor normally works the 3rd front‑desk shift and may be asked to cover other shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Register guests, making and modifying reservations, and assist with hotel operator/concierge duties.

Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel features, services, room types, rates, packages, and daily operations.

Greet guests, anticipate needs, and respond promptly to maintain positive relations.

Process check‑in, collect payment, assign rooms, generate registration cards, and verify information.

Maintain guest history files and accurate accounting for each guest.

Handle overbooked or “walked” guests and provide room change accommodations.

Document all requests, complaints, or problems and resolve complaints to ensure satisfaction.

Keep work area organized and supplies stocked.

Secure assigned bank and maintain accuracy of contracted monies.

Communicate with previous shift to review follow‑up items.

Answer departmental telephone calls following property guidelines.

Process end‑of‑day reports.

Qualifications

1+ years of front desk/night audit experience in a hotel or hospitality‑related role.

Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook) and basic Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Typing speed of 50 wpm or more; excellent written and verbal communication.

Bilingual fluency is a plus.

High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Ability to remain calm, positive, energetic, and service‑oriented.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and multitasking capability.

Proficiency with hotel management systems, preferably OPERA.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for hotel familiarization or content creation.

Team player capable of working under minimal supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic arithmetic.

Understanding of confidentiality, discretion, and effective communication.

Other Expectations

Abide by payroll policies, procedures, and handbook conduct rules.

Demonstrate knowledge of all safety and security procedures.

Travel may be required for hotel familiarization and content creation.

Work hours primarily Monday‑Friday 8 AM‑5 PM PST; weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
