Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Help Desk Section Program Technician (PT) II performs the more difficult program technician work to provide assistance via telephone and email to medical and pharmaceutical professionals, including delegates and non‑Drug Enforcement Administration licensed physician and surgeons, concerning questions and difficulties regarding registration and access to the Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System (CURES) database. The PT II responds to user inquiries associated with accessing interstate Prescription Drug Monitoring Program data through CURES. The PT II triages the more complex inquiries which includes questions concerning interstate data, to analyst level staff. The PT II performs CURES application vetting and provides operational and clerical support to the Program, and other duties, as assigned.
