The EHS Specialist supports environmental, health, and safety initiatives at our manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and promotes a safe and healthy workplace through proactive risk management and continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in implementing and maintaining EHS programs and policies
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Support training initiatives related to safety and environmental compliance
Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory reporting
Collaborate with operations to identify and mitigate risks
Monitor chemical handling and waste disposal procedures
Participate in emergency response planning and drills
Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to EHS performance
Minimum Requirements
Associate's degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related field
1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment with EHS responsibilities
Knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in EHS or related discipline
Experience in chemical manufacturing or polymer production
Familiarity with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001)
Certification in First Aid/CPR or OSHA 30
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $75,000 – $95,000.
