What You’ll Do As the Chemistry Teacher at
Veritas Prep High School , you will deliver engaging, rigorous, and inquiry-based science instruction that empowers students to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and apply their learning to the world around them. Your teaching will prepare students for success in college-level coursework while fostering a classroom community where all identities are valued and every student feels safe, seen, and included.
You will collaborate closely with colleagues across content areas and grade levels, as well as with our higher education partners, to ensure coherence and alignment in curriculum and instruction. You’ll be part of a dedicated team that centers students’ voices, builds leadership skills, and promotes intellectual curiosity.
In This Role, You Will:
Teach all 10th-grade Chemistry classes, providing differentiated support to meet diverse learning needs.
Lead a Crew Advisory focused on college, career, and life readiness, using various platforms and curriculum aligned with college-readiness.
Implement high-quality lessons from OpenSciEd Chemistry that leverage your deep content knowledge and passion for science.
Contribute to and uphold school-wide systems and routines that promote a focused, joyful, and productive learning environment.
Use assessment data to inform instruction, monitor progress, and support student growth.
Integrate college and career readiness skills into daily lessons and classroom interactions.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and community partners through regular communication and collaboration.
Engage in ongoing learning around anti‑racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and actively work to make your classroom a space that reflects these values.
Support a student-centered school culture that encourages student leadership, feedback, and ownership of learning.
Participate fully in professional development and coaching to continuously refine your teaching practice.

One to two years of teaching experience (preferably at the secondary level).
Deep content knowledge in Chemistry.
Bachelor’s degree.
Have or be eligible for a MA teaching license in Chemistry (8‑12).
SEI endorsement within one year of employment.
Current authorization to work in the United States— a candidate must have such authorization by their first day of employment.

Veritas Prep offers competitive salaries and comprehensive benefit packages that include the following:
Salary Range for this position is $50,000 - $90,000, exclusive of fringe benefits.
If hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience.
In addition, we consider internal equity to ensure pay equity.
Keep in mind, the above range is the full base salary range for this position. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
We also offer a generous benefits package for full-time staff including: Health, vision, and dental insurance plans.
Paid family/medical leave insurance (private and meets state requirements).
