Position Summary The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full-time, Lecturer II (non-tenure track), with a start date of August 10, 2026. Applicants must have a master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field and at least 3 years of college-level teaching experience by the appointment start date. The Lecturer will teach a 4/4 (4 courses per semester) or a 3/3 if the opportunity arises to coordinate courses.
The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher able to communicate and collaborate with Department faculty and staff.

Awareness of challenges faced by students in lower‑division mathematics.
Collaboration and communication skills.
