The Hyatt Place Portland Downtown Old Port Square and Docent's Collection is seeking a Hotel Area Director of Sales to lead the hotel’s sales team and drive revenue growth for a boutique, lifestyle hotel property in Portland, Maine. As Maine’s only Hyatt property alongside The Docent's Collection, this role oversees sales operations to deliver timeless lodging experiences that embody Portland’s character. Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve the hotel's revenue goals. Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor strategies, and opportunities for business growth. Revenue Management: Collaborate with the revenue management team to optimize pricing, occupancy rates, and revenue streams. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate partners, and travel agents to drive business. Sales Targets: Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue objectives. Event Planning Coordination: Work with the events team to secure and manage group bookings, conferences, and special events. Promotional Activities: Develop and oversee promotional campaigns, advertising, and marketing initiatives to attract guests. Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to hotel management. Brand Representation: Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the hotel’s services and build brand awareness. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience and maximize revenue opportunities. What We Are Looking For
