Responsibilities Working on the Defense critical technology areas offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment at the forefront of advancing national defense capabilities in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Directed Energy, Hypersonics, and more. As part of a collaborative team of technical experts, you will support the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Accelerator. Your role will involve close interaction with senior DoW leaders and stakeholders across the S&T community. You will have the opportunity to contribute to decision-making processes impacting the Department's most critical modernization efforts. This project requires a high level of professionalism, technical expertise, and a commitment to shaping the future of national security capabilities.
As a Military Operations Analyst for the Accelerator, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
Support the office of the Program Manager (PM) for NC3 within the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering in conducting threat assessments and military operations analysis.
Advise on and assist with creating effective communications products for executive audiences across DoW.
Advises on military operations analysis methods and approaches, in coordination with a Government task lead and a team of analysts.
Assist in outreach to the S&T community to enable technology development including other U.S. Government, industry, academia, and international partners.
Qualifications
Active DoW Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within the last 24 months.
U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance.
Master's Degree in a relevant STEM discipline and 10 years of applicable experience or a PhD in a relevant STEM discipline and 7 years of applicable experience.
Demonstrated experience with military operations analysis methodologies.
Familiarity with Nuclear capabilities.
Demonstrated ability to create professional communications products for Defense audiences.
Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $129,800.00/Yr. - USD $216,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
