Director, AEC Construction Who You’ll Work With

What You’ll Do

You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. You will help clients make critical changes to improve performance and realize their most important goals. Responsibilities

Steer your team from initial client meetings to final closeouts for clients within the food, beverage, life science, home, and personal care markets Ensure that each project reflects commitment to client satisfaction, budget adherence, timing precision, quality standards, and safety norms Leverage the full potential of the team, fostering growth and professional excellence Effectively utilize team capacity and focus on team member development Collaborate with industry and project delivery experts to translate clients’ capital initiatives into commercialized solutions Partner with leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to develop design‑build and EPC projects Make an impact day-to-day with your skills, strengthening client and team relationships Guide projects from conception to fruition in alignment with client and organizational objectives Lead risk assessment, contract negotiations, and critical fee and pricing decisions Serve as primary point of contact for market leaders ensuring excellence in project performance Identify new opportunities and participate in proposals that define scopes of work and achieve client objectives Manage budget and financial aspects, ensuring fiscal responsibility throughout the project life cycle Assume responsibility for construction and design/build initiatives with responsibilities in estimating and proposal crafting Ensure estimates, design, schedule sequencing, and proposals meet client expectations for budget, aesthetics, scope, and schedule Communicate project goals and requirements effectively and lead the team to success Cultivate the talents of the team and guide them toward personal and professional milestones Lead by example and foster unity and collaboration within the project team Step into every role on the project as needed to maintain team effectiveness and morale Oversee construction activities including initial estimates for contractor bidding across industrial facilities, packaging, life science and advanced technology manufacturing facilities, data centers, clean rooms, and related MEP projects Ensure alignment with company standards, industry norms, and regulatory requirements Implement and enforce safety programs and monitor job-site safety What You’ll Bring

A minimum of 15 years in diverse construction roles and 8 years in construction management and leading teams A proven ability to lead complex industrial construction projects end-to-end Experience in handling construction and A&E design-build projects, with industrial structures experience preferred Excellent leadership and team development skills Track record of managing industrial projects valued between $50K and $50M Familiarity with process systems and proficiency in reading P&IDs Experience implementing safety programs and monitoring job-site safety Proficiency with project management software and BIM tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Timberline, AutoCAD, Revit) Willingness to travel for client meetings, AHJ meetings, internal meetings, and site visits Understanding of prime contract requirements including estimates, schedules, scopes, budgets Contractor qualifier license(s) or willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification Construction project management certification (preferred) Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related technical field (preferred) Our culture emphasizes mutual respect, integrity, and a focus on individual and collective success.
