The Procurement Lead plays a key role in executing a multi-billion dollar federal acquisition program by overseeing procurement activities, managing supplier performance, and driving process improvements. This role ensures all procurement actions are compliant, competitive, and aligned with program goals. Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement efforts for automation-related contracts, ensuring fair, transparent, and competitive sourcing practices Establish and maintain procurement benchmarks to measure process efficiency and effectiveness Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as procurement cycle time, contract award rates, and supplier performance metrics Analyze procurement data to inform sourcing strategies and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements Collaborate with federal personnel, contractors, and program stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices Ensure full compliance with federal acquisition regulations and internal procurement policies Education and Qualifications
Preferred Education: Master's Degree Required Technical And Professional Expertise: A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing strategy, and supply chain management Demonstrated leadership in federal or public-sector procurement environments, including strategy development and process execution Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations, contracting vehicles, and procurement planning Proven ability to conduct procurement analysis and support strategic decision-making with evidence-based recommendations Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders across complex programs Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance with the U.S. government Preferred Technical And Professional Experience
Experience with procurement analytics tools or dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or custom spend analysis platforms) Familiarity with federal procurement systems such as SAM.gov, FPDS-NG, or eSRS Knowledge of supplier risk assessment frameworks and mitigation strategies Experience mentoring or leading procurement teams in complex acquisition environments Exposure to automation technologies or digital procurement transformation initiatives Seniority level
