From your PASSION to ours Lactalis USA, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Senior Manager, Strategic Category based in Bedford, NH, Chicago, IL, Buffalo, NY, or Minneapolis, MN. The Senior Category Manager is a key member of the North American Strategic Procurement team. This role develops and implements short-, medium-, and long-term purchasing strategies that deliver best-in-class results in people, processes, costs, and the ongoing integrity of purchasing policies, practices, and systems. The role collaborates with the global procurement team, advises on sourcing strategies, and ensures progress against project timelines and deliverables. This position operates in a global, matrixed environment and aligns with the overall goals of the organization, supporting services for the USA and Canada. The role reports to the Senior Director Direct Procurement. Responsibilities
Prepare the Budget with input from the Senior Director Procurement and the global Strategic Procurement team Support strategic procurement activities for all 7 divisions in USA and Canada Develop and execute sourcing strategies for all category responsibilities; present and support strategies to internal stakeholders Develop strategic partnerships with key suppliers Identify and execute cost-saving negotiations Provide cross-functional support on global strategy and negotiation initiatives, including pricing specifications, vendor listings, market intelligence, and local negotiations for finalization Support and manage company acquisitions; collaborate cross-functionally with the global procurement team and other functions Develop local sourcing strategies; qualify vendors, tender, negotiate, implement and manage all contracts for the category at the zone level and across divisions Partner with and provide purchasing support to other functions within all Lactalis North American divisions as required Identify and execute value analysis and supplier transfer savings opportunities to meet cost reduction targets Potentially lead and manage direct reports, set goals, provide direction, review performance, and identify training needs in collaboration with the Sr Director Track cost savings initiatives and provide monthly status reports Work Conditions

Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education
Bachelor\'s degree required Experience
6+ years in procurement in a related field or category, preferably in a food company Certifications and knowledge
