The College of Psychology and Counseling, Fairleigh Dickinson University invites applications for an Assistant Professor for an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist beginning August 2026. This position includes teaching, research, and service.
The College of Psychology and Counseling offers courses and degrees at two campuses in New Jersey. This position will primarily be located on the Florham Campus, which offers graduate programs in I/O Psychology and Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The Metropolitan campus offers Doctoral Programs in Clinical and School Psychology; Master’s Programs in Psychopharmacology, Forensic Psychology, General Theoretical Psychology, and School Psychology; and an Undergraduate Program in Psychology with tracks in forensic psychology, mental health, and consumer psychology. We also offer virtual psychology courses internationally.
Required Qualifications The successful candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in I/O Psychology. This individual will be involved in shaping and guiding the I/O psychology Master’s programs and our I/O undergraduate concentration. Experience with, and/or an interest in, administrative work, is desirable. An earned doctorate in I/O Psychology or a closely related field is required as well as evidence of scholarly research productivity.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
