THE ROLE:
The
Beverage Supply Chain Manager
oversees the end-to-end supply chain for beverage products - from procurement and co-packer coordination to logistics and fulfillment. This role ensures production runs smoothly, inventory is properly maintained, and distributor orders are fulfilled efficiently.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Procurement & Vendor Management
Purchase beverage-specific ingredients, packaging, and materials.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure availability for production needs.
Production & Co-Packer Coordination
Act as the primary liaison with co-packers regarding production schedules, specifications, and quality control.
Ensure co-packers meet production timelines and standards.
Manage all cartoning needs and coordinate with the 3PL cartoning partner to ensure cans are packed in the correct pack formats and inventory remains available to prevent sellouts.
Inventory Management & Forecasting
Use Katana (our ERP system) to monitor beverage-related inventory and forecast production needs.
Maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess or stockouts.
Collaborate with the Inventory Manager to reconcile beverage stock levels and ensure accurate reporting.
Logistics & Fulfillment
Oversee outbound freight from co-packers to 3PLs and distributors.
Manage transportation, delivery timelines, and shipping communications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Sales and Operations teams to troubleshoot order issues and maintain service levels.
Provide reporting on beverage supply chain KPIs, costs, and lead times.
Process Optimization & Reporting:
Continuously improve supply chain workflows and vendor performance.
Analyze supply chain KPIs, costs, and lead times to identify areas for improvement.
Provide regular reporting on stock levels, production plans, and logistics status.
SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES THAT WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL:
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience.
1-3 years of experience managing supply chain operations in a CPG, beverage, or manufacturing environment preferred.
Proven success coordinating with co-packers, 3PLs, and distributors to ensure on-time production and fulfillment.
Experience in procurement, logistics, and vendor management with a focus on quality and cost control.
Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems (Katana experience strongly preferred).
Demonstrated experience in forecasting, production planning, and inventory reconciliation.
Technical Proficiency
High proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive).
Comfort with digital logistics platforms, freight tracking systems, and vendor dashboards.
Working knowledge of COGS tracking, SKU-level forecasting, and supply chain cost analysis.
