JR100069Underwriting Support consists of a team of production-oriented, customer-centric, problem-solving, detail-driven Account Managers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading, coaching, and developing production teams of five or more.
Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.**Responsibilities:*** Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change; developing and empowering staff; cultivating relationships; putting staff in a position to succeed, meeting their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals; building effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals; driving engagement and creating a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.* Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff.* Builds effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.* Drives engagement and creates a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.* Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.* Conducts performance evaluations, coaching conversations, team meetings and individual one on ones with staff.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Qualifications:****Must Have:*** Bachelors’ degree and 3 years of leadership experience; or equivalent
+ The equivalent is defined as 7 years of relevant insurance experience.* Substantial understanding and knowledge of commercial insurance.* Vast knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures.* Solid technical background with hands on experience in rating and policy issuance platforms, as well as system testing.* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels.* Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.* To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.**Preferred to Have:*** Prefer 5+ years of experience as an Account Manager or Assistant Underwriter supporting experienceIAT Insurance Group is the largest private, family-owned property and casualty insurer in the U.S. **I*nsurance* A*nswers* T*ogether*** is how we define IAT, in letter and in spirit.
