Purpose Oversees Finance Regulatory Data Management & Data Services within Global Finance & Risk Technology (GFRT) provides development and production support services for US Regulatory Initiatives and operations. The Regulator reporting platform management team supports development related to regulatory requirements and application support for the returns filed by the bank. The team is heavily involved in business transformation projects and regression testing during migrations.

As a Manager and Lead Developer you are required to supervise the regulatory reporting requirements globally, work on AI,. The individual must thrive on challenge, be proactive, and demonstrate initiative, coaching the data engineers and eagerness to learn.

What You’ll Do

Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

Design and develop Regulatory reporting for Finance and Risk

Support PRODUCTION support during both Finance and Risk Regulatory reporting cycle

Manage and maintain Regulatory reporting platform including software patching and performance enhancements

Design and develop automation workflows

New data pipeline integration

Data profiling and AI experience

Effectively facilitate SDLC across the specification, design, build, test, and deployment phases of development.

Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

What You’ll Bring

Hands on experience on creating of Data Sources, Data Models, Shorthands, Portfolios, Aggregations, Free Form, Tabular Report, XBRL and Mapped reports

Hands on experience with Data Lineage tools

Hands on experience on Data profiling

Hands on experience using AI for data related activities

Hands on experience using Axiom

Hands on experience using Netcap

Excellent English (oral & written) communication skills and interpersonal skills required as direct interfacing with other developers and customers expected

University or College degree in related fields
