Scope of Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Project Manager to lead and manage capital projects that support business objectives. These projects will typically focus on enhancing manufacturing capacity, establishing manufacturing operations for new business ventures, reducing manufacturing costs, and improving facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, employing fundamental project management practices such as the stage gate process to ensure successful delivery of project goals.
Day to Day Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
Direct supervision of project team. Provide strong leadership to guide them, resolve conflicts, and make timely decisions to ensure the project’s compliance with safety, scope, schedule, cost, and other project‑specific deliverables such as those associated with product quality, equipment and process capability, machine and line rates, equipment uptime, etc.
Project Management:
Execute all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, leveraging the stage gate process and all of its associated tools.
Scope Development:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Budget and Schedule Management:
Develop, monitor, and control project budgets and schedules to deliver outcomes within approved limits while maintaining quality standards.
Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth execution and minimize disruptions.
Cross‑functional Collaboration:
Partner with cross‑functional teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful delivery of project requirements.
Communication:
Facilitate clear and consistent communication across all levels of the organization, ensuring stakeholders are informed of project progress, challenges, and milestones.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process improvements and apply best practices to optimize project execution and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
10 years of industry experience
Minimum of 3–5 years project management experience
BS Degree in Engineering field
Team leadership: Strong ability to lead, inspire, and mentor teams, ensuring collaboration and productivity.
Project Management Skills (understanding and application)
Effective communication skills: Clear and concise communication, both written and verbal, to relay information to team members, stakeholders, and executives.
Technical ability: Quickly grasp technical concepts and gain an understanding of the manufacturing process as well as the associated facility services and facility design.
Desired Qualifications
Preferred Degree – BS in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering
Innovative and technically curious
Experience working with the Scientific and Technology communities
Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially in glass or ceramics
Knowledge of PDRI, Stage Gate and Last Planner
Travel Requirements
Must be available for significant travel, primarily domestic, to multiple locations to support business needs. International travel could be required as well.
Project assignments can be in excess of 1–2 years in duration
Hours of work/work schedule/flex‑time
Flexibility is required
Normal Business Hours (M‑F): however, expected to work hours required to achieve objectives
May include weekend and off‑shift hours.

The range for this position is $116,625.00–$160,360.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
