Pay: $47/hr (W2 only)

Location: Milpitas, CA – 100% Onsite

Duration: 6-Month Contract (potential extension)

Monday thru Friday 8 AM to 5 PM

About the Role

We’re partnered with a global leader in advanced technology solutions to hire an experienced Hardware Technician to join their data center operations team in Milpitas, CA.

This is a hands-on role focused on server installation, troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance within high-performance compute environments.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team supporting compute, networking, and storage infrastructure in a fast-paced environment where precision and reliability are key.

⚙️ Key Responsibilities

• Perform rack and stack installation of servers, networking gear, and storage units.
• Manage cabling, labeling, and power connections to ensure clean and organized setups.
• Diagnose and repair hardware issues related to CPU, GPU, memory, and power systems.
• Support Ethernet and InfiniBand network troubleshooting and hardware replacement.
• Maintain and repair storage arrays, SSDs, and RAID configurations.
• Execute basic Linux command-line operations for system checks and validations.
• Document work performed, hardware issues, and resolutions with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of:
• Server architecture (CPU, GPU, memory, and power systems)
• Network cabling and protocols (Ethernet / InfiniBand)
• Storage systems (RAID, SSD, and file systems)
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Proven ability to work independently in a data center or lab environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Must be available onsite, Monday through Friday in Milpitas, CA.
