What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and develop High-Complexity Electronics and Power Electronics (VFMDs, AC/DC Converters, DC Valve Controllers) for commercial aerospace applications.
  • Perform detailed circuit analysis, including SPICE simulation (using Altium/OrCAD), component derating, thermal analysis, and worst-case load analysis (WCLA).
  • Lead the design and analysis of magnetics for EMI filters, boost/buck inductors, and other critical input/output filters.
  • Create and execute PCB board bring-up and comprehensive Design Verification Test Procedures (DVTP) and reports (DVTR).
  • Ensure all designs meet aerospace standards, including RTCA/DO-254 and RTCA/DO-160, utilizing sound engineering principles and high-reliability design practices (FMEA, HALT).

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Expertise in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (Cadence, Altium, or OrCAD) for complex, multi-layer board design.
  • Strong background in circuit analysis and simulation using tools like PSPICE and MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Deep knowledge of DC-DC converters, active rectifiers, gate drives, and sophisticated EMI filter designs.
  • Experience with aerospace communication protocols like CAN, ARINC, SPI, and RS-232.

This leadership position requires a high degree of resourcefulness and problem-solving, offering the chance to mentor lower-level engineers and lead technical improvement projects within a critical aerospace development group.
