Overview
Vertex Service Partners is seeking a hands-on, growth-minded Regional Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations across Western partner companies. This role combines technical accounting expertise with leadership responsibilities—managing monthly close, strengthening financial controls, and supporting partners with day-to-day accounting needs. Exposure to M&A, system integration (Sage Intacct, ServiceTitan), and leadership development within a fast-growing PE-backed platform is required.

Position Details

- Pay Range: $105,000–$125,000 per year

- Reports to: Corporate Controller
Responsibilities
- Lead the month-end close process for multiple Partner companies, driving efficiency and shortening close timelines.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of all financial transactions with GAAP; oversee general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, variance analysis, and cash forecasting.
- Partner with senior management to provide timely, actionable insights on financial performance and business opportunities.
- Coach, retain, and develop accounting staff, coordinating with outsourced/third-party teams as needed.
- Support consolidated audits and assist with system/process enhancements across Sage Intacct and ServiceTitan.
- Act as a trusted advisor to Partner leadership, traveling up to 25% to provide on-site accounting support and integration assistance.
Education & Skills
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a privately held or entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong command of GAAP, monthly close, and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems (Sage Intacct preferred) and CRM/ERP tools (ServiceTitan, etc.).
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Collaborative, results-oriented mindset; able to close the books and lead process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive financial information.
Preferred
- CPA (active or in progress).
- Experience in PE-backed, high-growth, or seasonal business environments.
- Industry accounting background in consumer services, construction, or similar sectors.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary with a target range of $105,000–$125,000, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
