Job Description
WSI Trash & Recycling Valet is hiring a Trash & Recycling Valet Technician to provide nightly door side to dumpster trash and recycling valet services for a multifamily community in American Fork/Lehi, UT. With short evening shifts during the week, this position is great for people looking to make some additional income while still enjoying a work life balance.
Responsibilities
- As a Door-Side to Dumpster Trash & Recycling Valet Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of apartment communities.
- You will service each door of the community, visually inspecting for bagged trash, recycling and broken down cardboard left out by resident and use on-site equipment to bring to on-site dumpsters.
- Typically, your shift will range between 2 to 3 hours per evening. Please note that this estimate is based on historical data and may vary due to factors like number of residents, events, seasonal changes, or operational adjustments.
- Collecting bagged trash, recycling, and broken-down cardboard from residents' door sides using on-site equipment.
- Transporting these materials to designated on-site dumpsters, trash chutes, or compactors.
- Separating recyclables into appropriate dumpsters and inspecting for contamination.
- Engaging with residents in a friendly and professional manner.
- Issuing Educational Courtesy Compliance Notices for non-compliant trash or contaminated recycling, along with taking necessary photos.
- Uploading photos and compliance notices into our app to document findings.
- Cleaning up any loose trash around dumpsters, chute rooms, or compactors.
- Returning all equipment to its designated location after service completion.
- Additional tasks may include replacing bags at pet waste stations, collecting bagged pet waste, and managing community waste bins near doors or common areas such as pools and other amenities.
- At the end of your shift, you will check out using our app.
- This position requires extensive walking and, in some cases, climbing stairs. Some communities may also require the use of a personal open bed pickup truck.

- Comfort engaging with residents and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Ability to use on-site equipment to handle trash and recyclables.
