Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representative

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM ET | Full-time (30–40 hours per week)

Overview

We are seeking motivated Mortgage Origination Customer Service Representatives to support a federal housing initiative focused on helping individuals and lenders navigate the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage process. In this role, you’ll leverage your background in loan origination—whether as a Loan Processor, Loan Officer, Underwriter, or similar professional—to provide exceptional customer service while expanding your expertise in FHA policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding to calls and emails from the lending industry and the public regarding FHA guidelines and procedures.
  • Utilize mortgage knowledge and reference materials to identify and communicate accurate information to clients.
  • Follow established procedures and workflows for different contact types and systems.
  • Accurately document all customer interactions in the database.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FHA mortgage processes and updates.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience (loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, or loan officer)
  • At least 1 year of contact center or telephone-based customer service experience
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance (includes credit and background check)
  • Proficiency with multiple computer systems and search tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including phone etiquette
  • Typing speed of at least 40 WPM

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with FHA loan programs or guidelines
  • Omnichannel contact center experience
