Description Join a fast-paced automotive dealership team and play a key role in daily accounting operations. The Accounting Clerk supports the accounting department with full-cycle accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and administrative tasks that keep financial processes accurate and on schedule. Responsibilities:
- Process daily accounts payable and receivable transactions, including vendor invoices, check runs, and customer payments
- Post and reconcile cash receipts, deposits, and credit card transactions
- Maintain and update vehicle sales deals, repair orders, and parts tickets in the dealership management system (DMS)
- Assist with bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Prepare and distribute daily accounting reports and assist with month-end close activities
- Support titling and registration documentation as needed
- Communicate with internal departments (sales, service, and parts) to resolve billing or posting discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate files for audits and compliance requirements
- 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the automotive industry or dealership environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and dealership accounting systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, ADP)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced office
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Experience with vehicle titles, DMV paperwork, or warranty processing
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
