Full time **Reports to:** Office Manager/Healthcare Provider --- **Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care and Pain Management team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting healthcare providers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the clinic. This position requires strong clinical and administrative skills, as well as a commitment to patient-centered care. --- **Key Responsibilities:** *Clinical Duties:* - Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed. - Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, administering injections, and performing EKGs. - Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. - Document patient histories, medication information, and other pertinent data in electronic health records (EHR). - Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and medication instructions. *Administrative Duties:* - Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar, ensuring optimal patient flow. - Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, processing payments and insurance information as needed. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation in the clinic's EHR system. - Communicate with pharmacies and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and prescriptions. - Perform general office duties, including answering phone calls, responding to patient inquiries, and managing correspondence. *Collaboration and Support:* - Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide comprehensive care to patients. - Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to stay current on best practices and regulations in primary care and pain management. - Assist in managing inventory and ordering medical supplies as necessary. - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote a positive and supportive work environment. --- **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred. - Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred. - Previous experience in a clinical setting, particularly in primary care or pain management, is a plus. - Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. - Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical protocols. --- **Benefits:** - Competitive salary
