Alterations Specialists are responsible for completing all fittings and alterations to the high standards of David’s Bridal and report to the Store Manager. They exemplify friendly, knowledgeable, and technical expertise and provide superior customer service. Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm over the phone, virtual chats and in person; communicate clearly and concisely; adapt style to suit customers by problem solving; demonstrate excellent phone skills and resolve conflicts. Manage the customer flow using systems to deliver a five-star customer experience. Maintain service levels by being Prepared, Welcoming, meeting needs, and being there for all customers, including operational checklist tasks and meeting emotional and practical needs. Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and contribute to the store’s Five-Star Customer Service achievement. Proactively address customer concerns, escalate when needed, and partner with the leadership team. Explain how alterations can enhance the dress for the event; promote alteration services and personalization options. Assist stylists in closing sales by consulting on gown fit and customization. Maintain store-standards to support a flawless shopping experience and comply with the Dress Code Policy. Greet and escort alterations customers to and from appointments; inspect garments altered/steamed/pressed and ensure pristine condition before delivery. Respond promptly to customer questions with product and service information; build long-term relationships to meet and exceed satisfaction and loyalty. Maintain inventory management by processing special orders and ensuring first-quality standards for all merchandise. Ensure alteration pricing is at company standards; manage all alterations, fittings, sewing, steaming, pressing, and spot cleaning of garments to company standards. Resolve customer service issues swiftly and effectively in line with company guidelines; support cash wrap and process transactions accurately. Maintain the alterations room to be clean and well-organized; perform duties as assigned by store management. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store environment Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or special occasion production Prior experience with computerized POS (Point of Sale) system is a plus Part-time Benefits Include
