About the Role: The DevSecOps Engineer will scale and automate test infrastructure that supports enterprise-wide integration, system, and field-testing initiatives. This role embeds security practices within DevOps workflows and owns automation systems for testing at scale across mobile, embedded, and cloud-based systems. You will lead automated pipelines and orchestration across environments such as CI/CD pipelines, 30+ node RF testbeds, and portable multi-node test kits. The candidate should have deep expertise in secure automation, testbed provisioning, and cross-team collaboration to enable rapid iteration and validation in support of product and mission success. This role requires strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and close collaboration with software, hardware, and test teams to ensure security, scalability, and repeatability in the testing lifecycle from the ground up. Responsibilities

Strategic Cloud Services Management: Manage and optimize cloud services to enhance scalability and security, aligning with cross-functional strategies and best practices. CI/CD Pipeline Development and Management: Lead design and sustainment of CI/CD pipelines, define milestones, and coordinate with teams for rapid, secure software deployment. Advanced Security and Compliance Oversight: Own security posture of applications/infrastructure, conduct vulnerability assessments, and implement solutions per standards/regulatory requirements. Data and DevOps Security Integration: Oversee database management with focus on data integrity and security; integrate security testing early in the software lifecycle. Automation of Security Processes: Develop and refine tools to automate security assessments and vulnerability scans within CI/CD. Incident Response and Proactive Security Monitoring: Lead monitoring efforts for security incidents, implement response measures, and guide less experienced colleagues. Compliance and Risk Management: Develop risk management strategies ensuring practices meet regulatory/industry standards; support software development risk assessments. Strategic Collaboration and Training: Promote a security-first mindset and provide secure coding training across teams. Policy Development and Enforcement: Formulate and enforce security policies and procedures throughout the software lifecycle. Required Qualifications

Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with at least 4 years in DevOps focusing on security best practices in AWS. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in automation tools, AWS, security protocols, and Agile methodologies. Experience with Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, GitHub Actions, etc. Business Acumen: Awareness of market differentiators and how responsibilities impact business objectives. Communication: Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders; prioritizes tasks independently and can advise on prioritization. Tools & Technologies: Experience with security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM) and familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS. Preferred Qualifications

Startup environment adaptability; cloud platforms beyond AWS (e.g., Google Cloud Platform); development skills and infrastructure-as-code. Industry Certifications: CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP are advantageous. Practical DevSecOps experience; deep cloud security knowledge (AWS, Azure, Google). Test infrastructure automation: designing/managing automated pipelines (e.g., Watchtower, Cypress) across distributed systems. Testbed orchestration: coordinating job execution across RF-based nodes and test kits. CI/CD integration for test automation; ongoing learning in security and DevSecOps trends.
