We are seeking an experienced and driven Office Manager / Controller to join our leadership team and oversee all dealership accounting and administrative functions.
Position Overview The Office Manager / Controller will lead the accounting office, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and support daily operational success. This position plays a key role in partnering with the General Manager and ownership to ensure the dealership runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee dealership accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, payroll, and title work
Manage deal posting and ensure timely funding and accuracy with lenders
Monitor cash flow and maintain proper financial controls
Perform month-end and year-end closing processes
Produce accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
Reconcile schedules, including floorplan, inventory, warranty, and manufacturer statements
Track incentive payments and ensure proper reporting to Stellantis
Manage office staff, support training, and ensure accountability and efficiency
Maintain compliance with state regulations, tax laws, and internal policies
Support HR duties, including onboarding paperwork and payroll verification
Work closely with the GM and ownership on forecasting, reporting, and budgeting
Qualifications
Automotive dealership accounting experience required
Minimum 3 years in an Office Manager, Controller, or similar dealership accounting role
Strong understanding of CDJR store accounting preferred but not required
DMS experience required (Tekion experience is a plus, but not required)
Knowledge of lender funding processes, warranty schedules, and manufacturer accounting portals
Strong leadership and communication skills
Analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
