As a Security Officer - Flex Logistics Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in logistics and distribution environments and other sites through our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll gain hands-on site experience across various industries, with opportunities to supplement income or grow toward full-time roles. You will deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment at logistics and distribution locations, performing routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and responding professionally to security concerns. Provide customer service to clients at logistics and distribution locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment. Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, including interior and perimeter, to deter unauthorized activity and suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to deter unauthorized entry and activity. Assist with site access control, verifying credentials of visitors, contractors, and employees as required by location procedures. Document observations, incidents, and occurrences according to Allied Universal and client protocols. Work collaboratively with site personnel and local law enforcement during emergency or incident response situations. Minimum Requirements
Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants may be subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
