Loan Processor I Salary Range

$19.68 - $20.85

Position Summary

The Loan Processor I provides timely and accurate responses to loan applications for members and potential members who are requesting financing at participating indirect automobile, motorcycle and boat dealerships. Ensures accuracy and completeness of indirect loan documents generated from participating dealers and to ensure the timely disbursement of indirect loans and dealer reserves.

Loan Processor I Duties and Responsibilities

Examines indirect loan packages received from dealer partners to ensure completeness and accuracy according to SCCU standards, prior to loan issuance and dealer payment. Submits applications to Underwriting for decisioning as required.

Accurately updates application information to align with received loan documents or verified data.

Manages incomplete applications, including timely follow-up and the returning or declining of applications that do not meet completion deadlines.

Determines SCCU membership eligibility and opens new SCCU membership accounts for qualified applicants.

Partners with the Indirect Sales Team to achieve application funding and address any issues.

Disburses dealer payment via check or ACH origination within a specified timeframe of receiving a completed package ensuring prompt funding within the Service Level Agreement.

Answers incoming telephone calls regarding indirect loans from dealer partners, members, and other SCCU Team Members.

Opens new dealership accounts by accurately entering dealer information into core and lending systems to ensure proper payment recording.

Performs reconciliation of Dealer and General Ledger (GL) accounts as needed.

Conducts research on incorrect loan and dealer reserve postings as required.

Assists peers with their applications as needed, contributing to team efficiency and workflow.

Consistently demonstrates self-motivation and independent problem-solving skills, requiring only minimal direct supervision, to maximize individual productivity and efficiency and attain member satisfaction. Proposes enhancements to work methods or procedures to improve process efficiency and/or the quality of results.

Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.

Loan Processor I Minimum Qualifications

Six (6) months customer service experience required.

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Hours

Must be available M – F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Rotating Saturdays 9:00am - 3:00pm
