Security Professional - Shelter Patrol Badge Specialist located in Bronx, NY. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries, including Shelter, among others. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for all residents and staff. Your visible presence and routine patrols contribute to calm and order, while your commitment to customer service and clear communication helps everyone feel respected. Position Type:

What You’ll Do

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, along with appropriate emergency response activities as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving approach to maintain a stable environment within the shelter location. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activities or disturbances. Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and interactions according to site protocols. Collaborate with shelter staff and residents to promote a respectful and orderly atmosphere. Monitor access points to deter trespassing or other unauthorized entry. Remain alert to the unique needs and challenges of the shelter environment and adapt responses as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience. High school diploma or equivalent (GED) as required by the client. Must be at least 21 years of age. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles. As a condition of employment, background investigation will be conducted in accordance with applicable laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. Drug screen will be conducted as a condition of employment where permitted by law. Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment depending on state/local laws. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
