Oil and gas/Energy client located downtown Houston is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to report to the HR Vice President. Join a strong HR team and help facilitate processes and strategy. Hybrid schedule and work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Seeking a technical acumen alongside the ability to engage field employees and corporate employees. Data analysis is important and required with strong use of Excel. Must have the ability to create and make presentations to leadership. The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a strategic advisor and consultant to business leaders, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals. This role partners with management to deliver HR solutions in the areas of employee relations, talent management, performance, compensation, and workforce planning while ensuring compliance and promoting a positive, high-performance culture. Responsibilities
Partner with department leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that support business objectives and workforce needs. Provide guidance on organizational design, talent development, and succession planning to ensure strong leadership pipelines. Advise and coach managers on performance management, employee relations, and engagement initiatives. Conduct investigations and manage employee relations issues with discretion, fairness, and compliance. Analyze HR metrics and trends to recommend proactive solutions for turnover, engagement, and workforce optimization. Support annual HR processes including performance reviews, compensation planning, and goal setting. Lead change management and communication strategies to ensure smooth implementation of HR programs and organizational changes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related degree 8+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a business partner or generalist role. Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices. Proven ability to influence leaders and build credibility across all organizational levels. Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills. Experience with HRIS platforms and data-driven decision-making. Professional certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) preferred.
